William H. Daniels - Owner and CEO
Patricia D. Daniels -
Owner and President
After his military service was completed, Bill Daniels began his career in funeral service in 1962. He joined his parents, Wesley and Rowena Daniels, becoming a second generation of the Daniels Family to enter funeral service. Bill and Patsy were married in 1963. Patsy continued as a primary teacher until 1971 when she also joined the firm. Bill and Patsy assumed management upon the death of Bill's father. Among many professional organizations, Patsy was the first woman president of the California Funeral Director's Association. She also remains active in many worldwide and local organizations which work to help those in most need. Bill, having retired in 1998, continues to consult with the family, but is able to spend and enjoy more time with his eight grandchildren.


WESLEY W. DANIELS
Owner & Funeral Director
As the third generation of the Daniels family to enter funeral service, Wes began his career while still a student at Santa Rosa High School. He became a Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Pre-Planning Consultant after graduating from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is active in many professional and community organizations, and serves on the board of the California Funeral Directors Association. He is a member of the Santa Rosa Luther Burbank Lodge No. 57 F & A.M.

CAROL L. DANIELS
Owner & Funeral Director
Carol has been associated with Daniels Chapel of the Roses since 1992 and soon discovered how gratifying it was to help people in their time of need. Deciding to make funeral service her career, she became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1996 and is also recognized as a certified preplanning counselor. She recently finished her term on the board of the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) and enjoys using her fluency in Spanish to serve the Hispanic families of Santa Rosa County. She and her husband Wes devote their free time to the busy schedules of their children.


E. KATHLEEN EASTMAN
Funeral Arranger
A member of our staff since 1995, Kathy began arranging funerals in 2000. Since she was raised in Chile, she is fluent in Spanish and serves our Spanish-speaking client families. In her spare time, she volunteers with her church and takes an active role in mission trips to South America. When at home, she enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren.


WILLIAM T. “BILL” GRAFE
Funeral Director
Bill began his career in the funeral industry in 1962. He graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and in 1969 graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science. In 1967 and 1968 Bill was Chief of the Mortuary Division at Danang Army Mortuary in South Vietnam. He is the previous owner of Eggen and Lance Mortuary in Santa Rosa. Bill joined the staff at Daniels Chapel of the Roses in 2004. He is past Commander of Post 21 American Legion, and past President of Santa Rosa East Rotary. He has been Chairman of the March of Dimes, active in the United Way, Family Service Agency, Home Hospice of Sonoma County, and founding Chairman for 25 years of the Avenue of Flags Memorial Day program.

WHITNEY HIRSCH
Funeral Director
Whitney graduated in 1992 from Cypress College of Mortuary Science. She has been on the staff of Daniels Chapel of the Roses since 2002. Outside of her work, she is the dedicated mother of two beautiful children.




LISA GARLOFF
Family Service Director
Lisa grew up in Southern California and moved to Santa Rosa in 1983. Lisa’s prior experience includes 18 years at JDSU, where she gained valuable experience in all aspects of project management and customer service. She also received her California Insurance License in June 2006. As a Planned Transitions Consultant, Lisa assists people with their pre-arrangement needs and was invited to join the Daniels team in July 2006. Lisa enjoys her community and spends time volunteering for various non-profit organizations. She is a certified Stephen Minister as well as a hospice volunteer. She enjoys time with her family and playing golf with her husband and watching her son play football.

BRUCE E. KENNEDY
Family Service Director
After 25 years as an ordained clergyman, Bruce joined Daniels Chapel of the Roses in 2005. He holds degrees in Finance and Ministry, and is a certified pastoral counselor. He is also a certified Humanist Celebrant, offering wedding, child dedication, funeral/memorial and other celebration services throughout Sonoma County. Additionally, he is a Planned Transitions consultant, which helps individuals and families preplan their funeral arrangements.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Bruce and his family came to Santa Rosa from Martha’s Vineyard, MA. He is married to Susan Marie Drumm Kennedy, a craft artisan, and they have a son Byron. In his spare time, Bruce enjoys reading music, writing and spending time with his family and friends. He is also a long-time member of the Henry David Thoreau Society and actively engaged in research on Throeau and his writing.

GAIL HORNER
Office Manager
Gail is often the first contact our client families have with our firm. She holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, and has been a member of our staff since 2002. She recently received her certificate in Adobe Photoshop Training and her computer graphic talents allow her to create the many personalized service and memorial folders we offer. In her spare time, Gail enjoys taking college classes, family time and is an avid reader.

VIRGINIA PHY
Office Administrator
Virginia’s career in funeral service began in 1998, and she joined our firm in 2003. Her background is, to say the least, colorful. She has worked as a hairdresser, firefighter, and school bus driver. She and her husband build and ride three-wheeled motorcycles, and are active in the area’s triking community. Virginia also volunteers with Meals on Wheels, and is an advocate for AIDS patients.
